In this paper,the revision background and main revision contents of TB/T 1979-2023 Special metal ma-terials for rolling stock-Atmospheric corrosion resisting steel are introduced.Representation method of atmospheric cor-rosion resisting steel grade,representation method,new specification requirements and test methods of the newly added steel grade,and integrated and test method for periodic infiltration of atmospheric corrosion resisting steel for railway are mainly interpreted.According to the new standard,suggestions are raised on the implementation of the standard,which can provide a reference for the user of the new standard.
