Evaluation of a Mobile Local Ventilation Dust Purification System in a Maintenance Workshop of a Locomotive Depot
In order to ensure the health of personnel engaged in welding operations in the workshop, this study investigates the practical effectiveness of ventilation and dust removal purification devices. An acceptance evaluation was conducted on two mobile local ventilation dust purification systems installed in a certain locomotive depot, focusing on their sanitary and technical performance. The results indicate that both systems can achieve the required air velocity to remove the concentration of major pollutants after activation. The dust removal efficiency for welding fumes is 73.81%and 71.43%,respectively,and the purification efficiency for welding fumes exceeds 97%for both systems.Significant differences in welding fume concentration were observed before and after system activation and purification(H=0,P<0.01).The two systems have compact and suitable designs, facilitating easy mobility. The system airflow is moderate, and the distribution of operational airflow is economically rational, meeting the requirements for ventilation, dust removal, and purification. Moreover, the systems have low consumable costs, simple and convenient maintenance, these ventilation and dust purification systems are worthy of widespread promotion and use.
