The Application Prospects of Nucleic Acid-based Techniques for Detection of Food-borne Pathogen in Railway Food Safety Guarantee
Food-borne pathogens have become one of the severe threats to human illness and death world-wide.Detection of pathogenic microbes is thus essential for food safety.The conventional methods are time-consuming and laborious,and require research and application of advanced detection techniques that are quick,efficient,highly sensitive and economical.Recent nucleic acid-based and different polymerase chain reaction-based techniques that can be used for detection of viral and bacterial food-borne pathogens in food control laboratories are reviewed herein.Principles,superiority,limitations and application prospects in railway food safety guarantee of these methods are discussed.
