Study on Correlation between Observation Index of Metabolic Syndrome and Physical Fitness Measurement of Railway Workers in Guangzhou
To explore the relationship between the observation index of metabolic syndrome(MS)and physical measurement index of railway workers in Guangzhou, aiming to evaluate the relevant trend of MS observation index through physical measurement index, and provide scientific basis for workers to carry out exercise and intervene in sub-health and chronic diseases in the future.Using convenient sampling,761 workers aged 20-59 were selected from 11 railway units in Guangzhou to carry out physical fitness measurement, and the correlation analysis was conducted between the measurement index and MS observation index. The results showed that the total qualified rate of physical fitness test was 78.7%.Physical fitness index(BMI)and systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),fasting blood glucose(FPG),triglycerides(TG),LDL cholesterol(LDL-C),uric acid(UA)showed a negative correlation, with High-density Lipoprotein Cholesterol(HDL-C)showed a positive correlation(P<0.05).The step index score was negatively correlated with DBP,FPG,TG and UA and positively correlated with HDL-C(P<0.05).Sitting anterior flexion score was negatively correlated with TG,UA and positively correlated with HDL-C(P<0.05).The score during the reaction was negatively associated with DBP and UA(P<0.05).The standing score was correlated negatively with SBP,TG,and FPG,and positively with HDL-C(all P<0.05).No correlation was observed between vital capacity,push-ups,and longitudinal jump scores and various physical indicators. It is suggested that the total score of physical measurement and MS observation indicators(blood pressure, blood sugar, blood lipid, uric acid)are negatively correlated, the better the total score of employees physical measurement, the more normal the above MS observation indicators. It is proposed that the health monitoring of employees should be carried out regularly at the same time, and the health level and internal environment state of employees with high BMI or low sitting flexion score should be monitored and intervened;daily monitoring can take body mass index, step index, sitting forward flexion and other indicators as quantitative indicators for daily intervention effect evaluation, and carry out targeted intervention training to achieve the goal of strengthening workers'physique and improving their health level.
