Due to the diversity and decentralization of new energy sources,the energy management and control of microgrid systems are faced with significant challenges.As an important part of microgrid system,energy storage system can realize stable operation and seamless grid connection by optimizing the design and scheduling of en-ergy storage system.Firstly,the structure and characteristics of microgrid system and energy storage system are summarized,and the research scope of energy storage system is precisely defined.Subsequently,the optimization objectives and constraints are discussed from the perspective of battery energy storage systems,and the main op-timization algorithms are compared and evaluated.Finally,the challenges and future development direction of en-ergy storage system in microgrid application are briefly described,and the research results of optimization meth-ods of microgrid energy storage system are summarized,so as to provide new ideas and valuable reference for better promotion and application of new energy systems.
