Study on Effects on Track Circuit Caused by Unbalanced Transmission Conditions of Maintenance Grounding
In this study,to analyze the impact of unbalanced conditions caused by short circuit of a single rail and the traction return cable on the 25 Hz phase sensitive track circuit during the catenary maintenance grounding, firstly,an unbalanced transmission model was established for the track circuit based on six-port network.Through the simulation and comparison, under the unbalanced transmission conditions, the attenuation of the rail top voltage at the signal re-ceiving side and the unbalanced traction current on the impedance bond transformers were found to be affected by the leakage admittance of the track, the grounding position of the single rail and the changes in the setting of the boosting cable and transverse connection wire. Those relationships were verified by the track circuit data and phenomena in exper-iments.After that, the study further gave the reasons for the"red light strap"problem of track circuit display equipment caused by the unbalanced transmission conditions during maintenance grounding in combination with practical cases,so that the theory was verified. Finally, the study provided ways to prevent the unbalanced transmission conditions from af-fecting the track circuit,so as to avoid the occurrence of this type of"red light strap"problem as far as possible.
