Mechanism Analysis and Suppression of Arcing between Wheel and Rail of High-speed Train over Insulated Joints
As the operating density, operating speed and traction power of high-speed trains continue to increase, the complex coupling between the train moving return current system and the track fixed return system causes frequent arcing between insulated joints when a train passing through the insulated joints. The arcing erodes the insulated joints, leading to faults such as track circuit crosstalk and crosstalk code, which seriously threaten the safety of running trains.Focusing on the arcing problem of insulation joints caused by the coupling of return current between the rail and train when high-speed trains passing rail insulation joints, this paper analyzed the topology of the return current path and the dynamic change of impedance when the wheelsets approach, straddle and leave the insulated joint, and constructed a three-di-mensional equivalent circuit model of the"train-rail"mobile grounding system based on the actual impedance parameters of the traction system. An analysis was given on the dynamic changes of the current return path and magni-tude of the grounded axle of the train running over the insulated joint.Based on the actual structural parameters of the system,a 3D multi-physical field coupling model of"bogie-rail"was constructed to reveal the dynamic evolution of the wheel-rail arc under the action of return current coupling, and to investigate the influence mechanism of ground current, rail end voltage and other factors on the arcing. At the same time,a new type of insulation joint arcing suppression de-vice was proposed to analyze the suppression effect by simulation.
