Research on Influence of Axial Oil Duct Width of Vehicle-mounted Transformer on Oil Flow Distribution
In order to explore the flow distribution of each radial oil duct in the windings of vehicle-mounted traction transformers with different geometric structures, this paper proposed a flow proportional correlation formula combining Reynolds number and geometric parameters of zig-zag winding based on the dimensional analysis method.Focusing on adding the ratio β of the axial oil ducts between inner and outer sides, the oil flow distribution in the windings of trans-formers with different geometric structures was predicted more accurately, thus laying a theoretical foundation for the e-valuation and positioning of the internal hot spots of the transformer. Then, based on numerical simulation technology of computational fluid dynamics, the accuracy of the established correlation was verified. The results show that the absolute error is less than 0.7%of the total volume of oil flow. Finally, for the oil flow stagnation and reversal area at the bottom of the winding, the influence of parameter β on the oil flow distribution uniformity and reverse flow of cooling oil was separately studied. It is concluded that when the β value is in the range of 1.4~1.5,the oil flow distribution is most u-niform and less prone to reversal, providing a theoretical basis for the design and manufacturing of vehicle-mounted trac-tion transformers in industrial production.
