Fast Magnitude Estimation Method for High-speed Railway Earthquake Early Warning System Based on P-Wave 2 s Power Information
Earthquake magnitude estimation is a key technical parameter of the earthquake early warning system of high-speed railway.A more rapid and accurate earthquake magnitude estimation model can better protect the safety of people's lives and property. In this paper,a ground motion attenuation model based on the power information carried by seismic P wave after the arrival of the P wave was established based on the K-net strong earthquake data from Japan and was used for magnitude estimation. The algorithm proposed in this paper was compared with traditional algorithms. The results show that under the time window of 1~5 s,the magnitude estimation errors of the model are significantly lower than those of the traditional methods, with overestimation of small earthquakes significantly reduced. With the increase of time window length, the error and standard deviation of the magnitude estimation of the model gradually decrease, and the re-alization rate gradually increases.Under the time window length of 1 s,the realization rate of single magnitude estimation of the model can meet the relevant requirements of the specification. For earthquakes with magnitude less than 7,the re-alization rate of the magnitude estimation of the model can meet the requirements of the specification after the arrival of P wave for 1 s.For earthquakes with magnitude above 7,the realization rate of the magnitude estimation of the model can meet the requirements of the specification after the arrival of P wave for 2 s.
