Process practice and research on 23MnNiMoCr54 steel for mining chain produced by converter
This article mainly introduces the process practice and research of converter→refining→vacuum→continuous casting→heating pre rolling→rolling production of 23MnNiMoCr54 steel for mining chain.The dual slag method is used to control slag pouring and dephosphorization,and the converter output w(P%)is≤0.005%.When the alkalinity of the refining slag is between 5.80-6.02,the yield of Mn alloy is higher,and the soft blowing time is controlled for 25-30 minutes to mini-mize alumina inclusions.Before production,the equilibrium phase composition diagram and CCT curve of the steel were simu-lated using JMatPro thermodynamic software to design the steel tapping temperature and annealing temperature.The hot-rolled microstructure is bainite,and after annealing in a double storage step 2#heating furnace with a reducing atmosphere,it becomes granular pearlite.The overall element segregation index of the continuous casting billet is between 0.91 and 1.07,and no circular low nickel zone was found,indicating good quality.Non metallic inclusions of class A,class D,and large particle DS are 0.5 grade,B class fine type is 0~0.5 grade,and the rest are 0 grade.The grain size changes from 7.5~8.0 grade in the hot-rolled state to 8.0 grade after annealing,and all performance indicators meet the standard requirements.
