Analysis and improvement methods of macroscopic defects of electroslag stainless steel
This article analyzes the causes of macroscopic defects of electroslag stainless steel 20Cr13.By track-ing and locking the sodium element, the macroscopic defects are caused by the inclusion of large particles in the original electrode billet, which are not completely removed after electroslag remelting. This indicates that the re-moval of large particles by the electroslag process is limited, and the different analysis perspectives are provided for producers.A production process that uses twice electroslag and reduces the melting rate to eliminate macroscopic defects is proposed.
