Influence of Microstructure and Texture of Titanium Alloy on Ultrasonic Detection Signals
Ultrasonic testing(UST)can determine the size and location of defects through reflection signals,and characterize the complex microstructures through ultrasonic wave velocity,attenuation and scattering.This article provided a detailed introduction to the UST technology for titanium alloy with complex microstructures and texture characteristics.The relevant information on the microstructure,texture,and mechanical properties of titanium alloys were analyzed through ultrasonic feedback signal.The latest progress in UST technology for titanium alloys were also introduced.In recent years,UST technology for titanium alloys has developed quantitative characterization method for macrozone,resonant ultrasound spectroscopy(RUS)non-destructive evaluation method,mode-converted ultrasonic scatting technology,and so on.These methods have been applied to UST of titanium alloy components in the aerospace industry.
