Research Progress on the Effects of Typical Element Microalloying on the Microstructure and Properties of Titanium Alloys
As modern equipment continues to develop towards high performance, long life, high reliability and etc.,it has put forward higher and higher requirements on the comprehensive performance of titanium alloy materials(strength and toughness, high temperature performance, creep resistance,etc.).Therefore,the research of titanium alloy materials with better performance is an urgent need in key fields such as aerospace.Microalloying technology refers to the optimization of titanium alloys by introducing trace alloying elements, and has become an alloy design strategy that can effectively improve the performance of titanium alloys. This paper explains the principle of microalloying technology, summarizes the classification of different alloying elements including α-stabilizing elements,β-stabilizing elements(isomorphic, eutectoid),and neutral elements, discusses the specific effects of common microalloying elements on the microstructure and comprehensive properties of titanium alloys, and looks forward to the future development direction of microalloying technology, aiming to provide new research ideas and theoretical basis for innovative design and advanced manufacturing of titanium alloys.
