DISCUSSION ON SHORTENING THE SMELTING CYCLE OF 300 SERIES STAINLESS STEEL IN AOD FURNACE
The article explores the factors that affect the smelting cycle of 300 series stainless steel in AOD furnace,and proposes corresponding measures to shorten the smelting cycle for each influencing factor.Shortening the smelting cycle of AOD furnace is one of the ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency.The main factors affecting the smelting cycle of 300 series stainless steel in AOD furnace include insufficient calorific value,excessive addition of cold materi-als,lack of production coordination;dust removal system,waste heat boiler,and feeding system in terms of equip-ment.Three measures have been proposed to increase the calorific value of raw materials in the furnace,including in-creasing the supply of mother liquor,selecting raw material procurement,and meeting the production requirements for high nickel molten iron.The solutions to three production coordination problems,including improving the technical level of gas distribution,operating systems,and on-site management,as well as three equipment transformation meth-ods,including dust removal system,waste heat boiler system,and discharge pipe transformation.It's expected to shorten the AOD furnace smelting cycle and assist steel mills in reducing costs and increasing efficiency through the nine proposed solutions.
