PRINCIPLE OF THE LOW-VOLTAGE COMPENSATION FOR THE SUBMERGED ARC FURNACE
The calculation method of reactive power compensation,the reactive power ratio in short network,and the skin effect of high current conductor in the application of low-voltage compensation technology in ferroalloy industry were analyzed theoretically in this paper.In view of the harmonic management,it is proposed that we should determine whether it is necessary to control and design the necessary filter device according to the test results.Finally,the basic design principle of low-voltage compensation of the submerged arc furnace is proposed.
