The analysis method of iron content in molybdenum concentrate is studied. The sample is decomposed into a saturated solution of potassium chlorate nitric acid, soluble salts are dissolved in hydrochloric acid, diluted to a cer-tain volume with water, and the iron precipitate is separated with ammonia water. The precipitate is dissolved in hydro-chloric acid, and the iron is reduced to divalent with tin dichloride.Excess tin dichloride is removed with mercury di-chloride.Sodium diphenylamine sulfonate is used as an indicator, and potassium dichromate standard solution is titra-ted.The iron content is calculated based on the amount of standard solution consumed, and the recovery rate is be-tween 99.80%and 100.20%.This method is simple and fast, with good precision and accuracy, and has been applied in practical production with satisfactory results.
