FUTURE DEVELOPMENT TRENDS OF FERROALLOY DC SUBMERGED ARC FURNACES
DC furnace has gradually developed from single electrode to six electrode in ferroalloy smelting,and with the increase of electric furnace capacity,there will be eight electrodes in the future.Compared with AC furnaces,DC furnaces have significant advantages.DC electric furnaces are still in their early stages in China.With the continuous promotion and improvement of DC furnaces,the number of AC furnaces will gradually decrease and the number of DC furnaces will gradually increase in the future.The transformation of three-phase AC furnaces into DC furnaces will be the trend,which is both in line with national conditions and convenient for the integration of the two.
