This article discusses the necessity of the transformation of semi closed submerged arc furnaces for ferro-alloys from a policy perspective,discusses the sources,characteristics,and structural composition of closed submerged arc furnaces for ferroalloys from a technical perspective,analyzes the flue gas characteristics of closed submerged arc furnaces,proposes a technical route for the transformation of semi closed submerged arc furnaces,and puts forward opinions on the key points of the transformation,as well as suggestions for the operation of closed submerged arc furnace.
