Visual Analysis of Integration of Virtual Simulation in Traditional Chinese Medicine Teaching
Objective:To elaborate the frequency,application scope and integration of virtual simulation in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)teaching,and analyze the application value and future trends.Method:Retrieving relevant literature on"virtual simulation"in the field of TCM from the establishment of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)database until February 24,2024.Analyzing the number of publications,institutions,journals,cited quantity,download and keywords of articles using CiteSpace software.Results:A total of 197 articles were included,the number of papers published is on the rise,the most published magazine is Chinese Medicine Modern Distance Education of China;Five institutions have published≥5 articles,with Henan University of Chinese Medicine having the most publi-cations.Experimental teaching,teaching reform,Chinese medicine,teaching mode and practical training are hot research keywords.New keywords such as intelligence-based teaching,teaching quality,and experimentation have emerged after 2022,which indicating that integration of virtual simulation in TCM teaching is constantly strengthening,and the quality of teaching is continuously enhanced.Conclusion:Currently,the development and application of virtual simulation teaching methods in higher education institutions of TCM are on an increasing trend year by year,but there are also shortcomings,such as a lack of in-depth research on the evaluation of their effectiveness after application.
