Effect of pH on Grease Production by Mixing Surplus Sludge and Kitchen Waste
Under the background of the amount of surplus sludge and kitchen waste increasing year by year, joint resource disposal is a more promising waste recycling technology. For the mixture of surplus sludge and kitchen waste, the effect of pH and pretreatment method on grease production was analyzed in this study. The results showed that without pretreatment, the amount of oil accumulation was the largest at pH 4.0,and the maximum value was 1.09 g/100 g on the 5th day.The activity of lipase was also increased. For the mixed group of surplus sludge and kitchen waste with ultrasonic or high-temperature and high-pressure pretreatment,it also showed a better grease accumulation effect in acid conditions, and it had the highest grease accumulation on the 7th day of pH 4.0.In addition, the results of grease composition analysis showed that the biodiesel(FAMEs)had a maximum yield of 78.9%,of which methyl oleate accounted for the largest proportion of 40.2%.
