Traditional pasting embroidery is characterized by the process characteristics of waste cloth as raw materials,the development concept of respecting nature and cherishing things,emotional inheritance,and the design purpose of combining practical life with artistic aesthetics,all of which fully show its modern development potential and value.This paper excavates the concept of sustainability in traditional pasting embroidery,combines modern fashion design to analyze the application form and design methods of pasting embroidery in knitted clothing,and puts forward the design direction from three aspects:material,technology and emotion,so as to provide theoretical methods and design references for the sustainable design of knitted clothing.
