Qualitative study on clinical practice training experience of wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses
Objective:To understand the clinical practice training experience of wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses,so as to provide reference for the rational setting of practical training courses for wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses,and to provide basis for further improving the training system of wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses.Methods:The purpose sampling method was used to conduct semi-structured interviews with 14 trainees who participated in the training of wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses in Henan Province from 2019 to 2022.The results were analyzed and refined according to Colaizzi's 7-step analysis method.Results:Three themes were extracted from the training experience including the improvement of specialist knowledge and practical ability by training,the positive impact of clinical practice training and the factors affecting effectiveness of clinical practice training.Conclusion:The training of wound,ostomy and continence specialist nurses can effectively improve the clinical practice ability of students,but there are some shortcomings in the curriculum,such as short training time,few operation opportunities and imperfect teaching resources,which will affect the effect of clinical practice training.The relevant departments of the hospital should pay attention to the problems existing in the training,improve the clinical practice training program and improve the training effect.
