Investigation of nurses'knowledge and attitude of palliative care in Kunming general hospitals
Objective:To investigate the current situation of palliative care knowledge and attitude among clinical nurses in Kunming general hospitals,and analyze its influencing factors,so as to provide references for the palliative care training of nurses in general hospital in future.Methods:A total of 664 nurses in Kunming general hospitals were included by convenient sampling method.General data of participants questionnaire,Palliative Care Quiz for Nursing(PCQN)and Bradley Palliative Care Attitude Questionnaire were used in the investigation.Results:In Kunming general hospitals,the nurses'average score of the total knowledge was 9.43±2.44,and the attitude score was 35.35±3.05.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that department,professional title,education and training experience were the factors affecting the total score of palliative care knowledge of nurses in general hospitals,meanwhile the department and professional title were the factors affecting the total score of palliative care attitude.Conclusion:The nurses'knowledge of palliative care in Kunming general hospital is poor and their attitude need to be improved.It is suggested that palliative care education and training should be carried out for nurses in general hospitals,especially nurses with low professional titles and non-tumor departments.
