The real experience of participation on cardiopulmonary resuscitation of emergency nursing students:a qualitative study
Objective:To investigate the real experience of emergency nursing students participating in the process of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Methods:The phenomenological research method was used to conduct semi-structured in-depth interviews with 11 nursing students in the emergency department.Colaizzi's 7-step phenomenological analysis method was used to code and repeatedly compare and summarize the data of interview. Results:Two themes were summarized from the real experience of emergency nursing students participating in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. They were occupational conflict(lack of coping ability, thirst for knowledge, fear of making mistakes)and occupational cognition status(negative pessimism, positive pride). Conclusion:Emergency teachers should pay attention to helping nursing students to improve their own ability and growth. At the same time, they should timely update their teaching idea and skills, implement multiplex teaching, improve their interest in learning, enhance their confidence, and pay attention to the cultivation of communication skills in the teaching process,so as to guide them to establish correct values.
