Analysis of the discharge readiness level and its influencing factors of main family caregivers among newborns with respiratory distress syndrome
Objective:To analyze the level of readiness for discharge and its influencing factors of main caregiver among newborns with respiratory distress syndrome(RDS).Methods:A total of 82 main caregivers of newborns with RDS admitted to the hospital from February 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the participants in the study. The Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale was used to evaluate the discharge readiness level.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze its influencing factors of main caregivers of newborns with RDS.Results:The mean score of the Readiness for Hospital Discharge Scale of 82 main caregivers with RDS newborns was 82.45±5.68,with the moderate level of readiness for discharge.According to the multiple linear regression, the gestational age of the newborn, educational level of main caregivers, ability of care, sense of disease uncertainty, and self-efficacy were influencing factors of the main caregivers'readiness level of newborns with RDS(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the study,it's indicated the moderate discharge readiness level of main caregivers with RDS newborns. The influencing factors of discharge readiness level of main caregivers were gestational age of the newborn, educational level of main caregivers, ability of care, disease uncertainty, and self-efficacy.
