Analysis on current status and influencing factors of anticipatory grief in the main caregivers of cervical cancer radiotherapy patients
Objective:To explore the current status of anticipatory grief among the main caregivers of patients receiving cervical cancer radiotherapy,and explore the main influencing factors of anticipatory grief,to provide reference for improving the physical and psychological health of the main caregivers of the patients.Methods:A total of 173 main caregivers of cervical cancer radiotherapy patients admitted to the department of radiotherapy from February to October 2022 were selected as the participants.The general information questionnaire,the Anticipatory Grief Scale(AGS)and the Zarit Caregiver Burden(ZBI)were used to examine the current status of anticipatory grief among the main caregivers of patients.Results:The mean scores of AGS of the main caregivers of cervical cancer patients receiving radiotherapy was 87.09±14.80.The results of multifactor analysis showed that gender,education level,the time when the patient was informed of the disease,the relationship with the patient,and the caregiver burden had significant effects on the anticipatory grief level of the main caregivers(all P<0.05).Conclusion:There was a high level of anticipatory grief of the main caregivers of patients with cervical cancer undergoing radiotherapy.For the medical staff,targeted nursing programs for patients should be supposed to improve their psychological quality,physical and mental health,and the level of care.
