Effects of Different Incorporation Amounts of Chinese Milk Vetch on Rice Nutrient Uptake and Soil Fertility in Southern Henan Province
Incorporation of Chinese Milk Vetch was an important management practice in rice-planting regions.A field experiment was conducted in southern Henan rice-growing area,to explore the effect of different incorporation amounts of Chinese milk vetch on nutrient uptakes, yields and soil fertility rice and to determine the optimal application rate of fresh Chinese milk vetch,to provide a theoretical reference for the possibility of using Chinese milk vetch as the sole fertilizer source instead of chemical fertilizer in south-ern Henan rice area in the Chinese Milk Vetch-rice rotation. The long-term field experiment was established in Xinyang,Henan Province in 2014.There were five treatments,CK(no fertilizers and no Chinese milk vetch)and 4 levels(22.5,30,45,60 t·hm-2)of Chinese milk vetch. The rice yield, nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P),and potassium(K)nutrient content and basic soil nutrients were mea-sured.The effects of different incorporation amounts of Chinese Milk Vetch on rice yield, nutrient accumulation and basic soil nutri-ents at maturity stage were preliminarily studied.Experimental results showed that compared with CK,the application of Chinese milk vetch significantly increased rice grain and straw yields by 22.68%-29.44%and 31.72%-41.56%,respectively.Incorporation of Chi-nese milk vetch could effectively improve soil fertility, and the contents of soil organic matter and available nitrogen were increased by 13.08%-23.46%and 36.03%-93.06%,respectively.Compared with CK,GM45 and GM60 had the the highest accumulation of N,P and K in rice and straw.Under the Chinese Milk Vetch-rice rotation system in southern Henan Province, the 45 t·hm-1 application of Chinese milk vetch could ensure rice growth, promote the absorption of N,P and K in rice, and keep rice yield stable.
