Effect of Cotton Straw Biochar on Phosphorus Dissolution in Sandy Soil
In order to explore the effect of biochar at different temperatures on the dissolution of phosphorus in aeolian sandy soil, cotton straw biochars with different carbonization temperatures(300,500,700°C)were prepared, and their different phosphorus frac-tions(0.25 mol·L-1 sulfuric acid extracted H2SO4-P,0.1 mol·L-1 sodium hydroxide extracted NaOH-P,0.5 mol·L-1 sodium bicarbon-ate extracted NaHCO3-P and distilled water extracted H2O-P)were concerned.A series of experiments on the kinetic dissolution of biochar phosphorus and its effect on the continuous dissolution of phosphorus in aeolian sandy soil were carried out.The results showed that the content of H2SO4-P was the highest, and the content of phosphorus in biochar at 700 °C was the highest, reaching 3.27 mg·g-1.The higher the carbonization temperature was,the higher the kinetic dissolution of phosphorus in biochar was,and the maximum dissolution amount was 30 days. The ability of biochar to dissolve phosphorus at 700°C was the strongest, and the dissolu-tion concentration was 3.968 mg·g-1.The cumulative phosphorus dissolution of cotton straw biochar at 700 °C for 60 days was the highest. After the biochar was added to the sandy soil, the cotton straw biochar at 300°C had the best effect on the phosphorus disso-lution of the sandy soil, which was 0.111 mg higher than that of the single soil, which may be related to the adsorption of phosphate by biochar. The adsorption effect of biochar at 700°C was the best,up to 1.818 mg·g-1.The application of cotton straw biochar in ae-olian sandy soil can increase the dissolution of phosphorus in aeolian sandy soil, and biochar can continuously provide phosphorus nu-trients for soil, which provides a reference for biochar utilization to improve phosphorus nutrients in aeolian sandy soil.
