Effects of Exogenous Inositol on Growth and Quality of Strawberry
In order to explore the effects of exogenous inositol on the growth and quality of strawberry under low temperature stress, this experiment took Red Yan strawberry as the test material, and treated strawberry with exogenous inositol.By measuring strawberry plant height, sugar content and fruit yield per plant indicators, the growth status of strawberry under conventional and inositol treat-ment was compared. The results showed that exogenous inositol had a certain effect on the growth of strawberry plants in the late pick-ing period, and could promote the root growth and development of strawberry plants and increase the leaf area to some extent. The plant height and crown diameter of strawberry were increased by 15.76%and 45.52%,respectively.During the whole growth period of strawberry, exogenous inositol could improve the sugar content and yield of strawberry to a certain extent, and also significantly in-crease the fresh weight per plant, which was 122.21%higher than that of the control, and the harvest yield was 28.88%higher than that of the control within one month from the early picking period to the peak picking period. In the late picking period, there were significant differences in fruit weight, yield per plant and reduced yield, which were increased by 106.54%,100%and 84.29%,re-spectively,compared with the control. In conclusion, exogenous inositol can promote the growth of strawberry plants in the late picking period, improve the quality of strawberry and also increase its yield to a certain extent.
