The vegetable seed industry is the key driving force for the sustainable and stable development of the vegetable industry in Tianjin,and it is also an important pillar to ensure the yield and quality of vegetables.In recent years,the vegetable seed industry in Tianjin has achieved remarkable development,and a group of vegetable seed enterprises with their own brands are becoming the main force and an important driving force of the vegetable seed industry in Tianjin.In this paper,SWOT analysis was used to analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats of the development of vegetable seed industry in Tianjin from the perspectives of poli-cy environment and market environment.According to SWOT analysis,the relevant development countermeasures including S-O strategy(give play to strengths-seize opportunities),W-O strategy(seize opportunities-make up for weaknesses),S-T strategy(rely on strengths-cope with challenges)and W-T strategy(overcome weaknesses-cope with challenges)were sorted out,and a series of de-velopment suggestions were put forward to promote Tianjin vegetable seed industry and industrial upgrading,which provides reference for the development of vegetable seed industry in Tianjin area.
