Effects of Different Pollination Methods on Fruit Set Rate and Fruit Storage Quality of Dragon Fruit
To investigate the effects of different pollination methods on the fruit setting rate and storage quality of dragon fruit, this study measured the fruit setting rate and quality indicators of dragon fruit through natural pollination, cross pollination, and self-polli-nation.The quality changes under different temperature storage conditions were also studied for cross pollination and self-pollination dragon fruits. The results showed that the fruit set of dragon fruit was 10.0%,86.0%and 100.0%for natural, cross pollination and self-pollinated,respectively.Cross pollination and self-pollination had no significant effect on the single fruit weight, reducing sugar content,VC content, and anthocyanin content of dragon fruit(P>0.05).During the storage process of dragon fruit,4℃was more con-ducive to the maintenance of dragon fruit quality than 25℃,the cross pollinated dragon fruit had better retention of total sugar, total acid, soluble solids,VC,and anthocyanin content than self-pollinated dragon fruit.
