In order to develop and expand geographical indication agricultural products to promote the revitalisation of rural industries in regions and thus achieve common prosperity.After combing the existing literature,we classify com-mon prosperity into four dimen-sions:material prosperity,spiritual prosperity,sharing and sustainability,respectively elaborate the mechanism of GI agricultural prod-ucts to promote common prosperity,and utilize inter-provincial panel data from 2010 to 2020 to carry out empirical tests by using a two-way fixed effect model.The study found that the effect of GI agricultural products in promoting common prosperity was more pro-nounced.Heterogeneity analyses showed that GI agricultural products had a contributing effect on common prosperity in the central and western regions,but the effect on the eastern regionis not significant.In conclusion,we should enhance the common prosperity ef-fect of GI agricultural products from four aspects,such as stimulating market potential,exploring cultural connotation,increasing inter-regional linkage,and exerting potential utility.
