Diagnosis and Treatment of Co-infection of Porcine Circovirus Type 2 and Haemophilusparasuis in the Care of Piglets
In order to identify the pathogens causing acute death, arthritis, breathing difficulties, and high fever in a large number of piglets purchased from Shandong by a pig farm in Zhongyang County,Lyuliang City,Shanxi Province, this study collected diseased pigs aseptically and brought them back to the laboratory for clinical dissection.Subsequently, blood, lymph nodes, lungs, kidneys, and spleen were collected for laboratory diagnosis, and a preliminary judgment was made.A sensitive and accurate technique,Real time PCR,was used to qualitatively detect porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus(PRRSV),African swine fever virus(ASFV),porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2),swine fever virus(CSFV),porcine pseudorabies virus(PRV),and hemophilusparasuis(HPS)in dis-eased samples. The results showed that PCV2 and HPS mixed infection was confirmed.Based on diagnostic conclusions, adjust the im-munization program of the pig farm to maximize the economic losses caused by the occurrence of diseases. The research results pro-vide diagnostic basis for the subsequent treatment and prevention of pig farms.
