Effects of Fish Protein and Alginate on Tomato Quality
In order to improve the fruit quality of high-quality tomatoes and screen suitable biostimulants,a high-quality tomato water and fertilizer integrated topdressing test was used to study the effects of two biostimulants, fish protein and alginate,on tomato plant height, stem diameter, leaf area, biomass, yield and quality. The results showed that both fish protein and alginate biostimulants could promote the growth of tomato plants and stems and leaves, and both had the effect of increasing yield and improving quality. In partic-ular,fish protein treatment was significantly better than other treatments.Compared with the control, not only the biomass and yield per plant of tomato were increased, but also the contents of soluble sugar, vitamin C,lycopene and protein were significantly in-creased.The yield per square meter of tomato was 36.9%higher than that of the control, and the contents of soluble sugar, vitamin C,lycopene and protein were 30.87%,53.13%,25.15%and 61.11%higher than those of the control, respectively. In summary, fish protein can not only promote tomato growth, but also increase yield and improve quality, which can be used as one of the top dressing measures to improve the quality of high-quality tomatoes.
