Based on relevant data of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2011 to 2022,this paper constructs an index system to study the relation between the integrat-ed development of the region and the industry of IT application innovation,including some intermediary variables.The coupling coordination degree model,linear regression and bootstrap mesomeric effect model are adopted to verify the empowering path of the former onto the latter.The results show that the former can affect the development of the latter either in a direct or indirect way through complementation between industries,com-petition and cooperation among regions and opening-up to the outside world.The empiri-cal results are significant and stable.Based on the research,some policy suggestions are put forward as follows:to establish an authority managing the industry of IT application innovation,to uphold the concept of collaboration,participation and common interests,to strengthen the industrial division of labor in the region,to direct the city clusters in the region into a benign relationship of competition and cooperation,to give full play to the advantages of Tianjin Port,and to expand the high-level opening-up.
