Wave packet dynamics in time-dependent tight-binding models
In order to develop and construct new quantum control methods and mechanisms, the dynamical behavior of a single particle wave packet in a time-dependent external field is systematically studied by calculating the energy spectrum and propa-gator of the system based on one-dimensional tight-binding ring system in magnetic fields. The results show that the vector potential can appear in the second quantized Hamiltonian of the tight-binding model in the form of phase, and the dynamical effects of wave packet induced by time-varying vector potential is the same as that of the system in the presence of external electric field, exhibiting consistency with Faraday′s electromagnetic induction law in classical physics. This relationship corre-sponding to classical physics provides an important guiding ideology for the construction of new quantum control mechanisms.
