Characteristics of head and face observation indicators of Chinese
The occurrence rates of eight head and face observation indicators in 53 nationalities(62 ethnic groups)in China were studied,and the characteristics of Chinese head and face observation indicators were explored.The results showed that the Chinese people mostly had the upper eyelid folds,the upper lip skin was more than medium,more thin lips,the nose wing was wider,the occurrence rate of triangular lobe was more than 20%,and the occurrence rate of convex nose back was low.The mongoloid fold rate,the occurrence rates of convex nose back,wide nose wing and thin lip in North Asian group were higher than those in South Asian group,and the upper eyelid fold rate,eye fissure narrow type rate,the occurrence rate of triangular lobe and upper lip skin medium rate were lower than those in South Asian group.The results of principal component analysis showed that the characteristics of head and face of the South Asian groups in China were similar,while the loci of North Asian groups were obviously scattered,reflecting a large difference in the characteristics of head and face.The loci of Han ethnic groups were also scattered,and there was no obvious aggregation area of Han.The differences of head and face observation in-dicators among North Asian group,South Asian group and Han ethnic group were mainly affected by genetic factors.
