Analysis and Implications of the New British GCSE Chinese Examination
In 2017,the British Ministry of Education, together with the British Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, carried out reforms to the GCSE Chinese examination. The first exam after the reform was held in the summer of 2019.As an assessment system included in the British"National Curriculum",the new British GCSE Chinese Examination, with its reasonable tier setting, emphasis on the evaluation of meaningful communicative activities, focus on the interlingual transfer through translation and construction of three-dimensional scoring standard, has relatively important inspiration and reference significance for the future development of the HSK tests. The mutual learning between the HSK tests and the country-specific and localized Chinese examinations overseas contributes to jointly building a more complete global Chinese proficiency test system, and thus promotes the international dissemination of the Chinese language.
