Evaluation of the competitiveness of China's provincial cross-border e-commerce industry from the perspective of ecological niche
This paper constructs the competitiveness evaluation index system of cross-border e-commerce industry based on the ecological niche theory. It calculates and analyses the competitiveness of cross-border e-commerce industry in 30 provinces and cities in China from 2016 to 2021 using the trend, width and overlap model of ecological niche. The results show that in the development of China's cross-border e-commerce industry, there exists a polarization phenomenon that makes the strong stronger and the weak weaker, and there are gradient distribution characteristics from east to west.At the same time, the overlap degree of cross-border e-commerce industries in China's provinces and cities is high, the spatial layout is homogeneous and scattered, and the competition between some cities is fierce. Finally, based on the results, some countermeasures are put forward such as strengthening the regional diffusive effect, optimizing the allocation of factor resources, and implementing the strategy of differentiated development.
