Spatiotemporal coupling of scientific and technological innovation and rural construction and its driving factors:case study of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region
Integration of science and technology into rural development is an inevitable requirement for achieving modernization of agriculture and rural areas.Based on the panel data of 13 counties(cities)from 2013 to 2021 in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, this paper uses coupling coordination model to analyze the spatiotemporal pattern of the coupling coordination development between scientific and technological innovation and rural construction, and constructs a spatial Durbin model to explore the spatial driving mechanism of the coupling coordination between the two.The results show that during the observation period, the coupling coordination between the two is on the rise and has a significant hierarchical decreasing feature of"being high in the north and low in the south"spatially. The coupling coordination of counties(cities)has significant spatial agglomeration characteristics, which are mainly manifested in two agglomeration modes of"high-high"and"low-low".Further research shows that factors such as urban-rural consumption balance,R&D expenditure, and the number of technological contract items have a significant positive impact on coupling coordination. Therefore,in the process of integration of science and technology into rural development in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,it is necessary to clarify the development status of various factors between regions, improve the coupling mechanism of integration of science and technology into rural development, and focus on solving the problem of unbalanced development between regions.
