Impact of digital trade on green transformation of enterprises:empirical evidence from listed companies
Based on the mechanism of the impact of digital trade on development of green transformation of enterprises,this paper builds a digital trade development measurement system and empirically tests the green transformation of enterprises driven by digital trade by using the panel data of Chinese Shanghai and Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2018.The results show that digital trade can significantly promote green transformation of enterprises.The promoting effect of digital trade on green transformation of enterprises in eastern region is greater than that in central and western regions.The promoting effect of digital trade on green transformation of enterprises in state-owned enterprises is greater than that in non-state-owned enterprises.From the view of impact mechanism,digital trade can promote green transformation of enterprises by reducing transaction costs and pushing green innovation research and development.Good government-business relations can help enterprises adapt to the development of digital trade and accelerate green transformation of enterprises.Based on the research findings,policy recommendations are put forward to persist in macro-control of digital trade,support green innovation,strengthen digital infrastructure construction and provide talent support.
