Integrity and compliance are emerging concepts that aim to protect the integrity and completeness of sports. As a benchmark for global mega-sports events, the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games has incorporated integrity and compliance into the governance of mega-sports events for the first time by establishing an Ethics Committee and issuing the Ethical Code for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This study takes the integrity and compliance practices of the Paris 2024 Olympic Game as a case, using literature review and case analysis methods,to review the progress of sports integrity governance from"anti-corruption to advocating integrity".Based on this, the study defines the concept of integrity and compliance governance for mega-sports events and explains its overall governance framework from the perspectives of governance principle, governance mechanisms, and governance content. The study concludes that in the practice of the Paris 2024 Olympic Game, there were lessons learned, such as insufficient implementation of preventive education, failure to regularly review and improve the improvement plan, limited effectiveness of accountability, and poor implementation of accountability. It also indicates that multi-party collaboration can effectively promote the construction of clean and compliant sport events, and that the standardization system is the future direction of event clean and compliant construction. The reform of good governance of sports organizations is its fundamental basis.
