Carbon Emission Reduction Effect of Integrating Digital Econom with Real Economy——Empirical Evidence from China's Provinces
Based on the panel data from 30 provinces(excluding Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao, and Taiwan)from 2012 to 2021,the paper empirically studied the spatial effect and action mechanism of the integrated development of digital economy and real economy affecting carbon emission. The results showed that:the carbon footprints in China have increased constantly. The integrated development of digital economy and real economy has also developed well, while the development level of integration among regions showed a significant disparity. The integrated development had an inverted"U-shaped"effect and an"U-shaped"spillover effect on carbon emission, and the effect had regional heterogeneity. In addition, the action channels of the integrated development included promoting industrial structural upgrade and reducing energy intensity.
