Digital Village Development:Level Measurement,Regional Disparities and Spatial-Temporal Evolution
The digital village development strategy is key to rural revitalization.By constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system from the dimensions of digital infrastructure,digital application,and digital development,this study analyzed digital village from dimensions of level development,regional disparities,spatial-temporal evolution,and transfer trends in 31 provinces of China from 2018 to 2022.The results showed that,overall,the development level of China's digital village has steadily improved,but regional development remained imbalanced,exhibiting an overall pattern"where the eastern and central regions had higher levels,while the western and northeastern regions had lower levels".Within regions,the eastern region showed significant unevenness,while the northeastern region demonstrated the best synergy.Moreover,inter-regional differences were the main source of overall disparities.There was a positive spatial correlation in the level of digital village development,showing a"high-high"or"low-low"clustering trend.The development status of digital village was relatively stable,and the proximity to high-level provinces was conducive to the upward transfer of low-level provinces.
