How Business Environment Empowers High-Quality Economic Development
Based on the new development concepts,the paper constructed an evaluation index system for high-quality economic development.Then the study used the method of horizontal and vertical stratification to comprehensively measure and analyze both the business environment and the level of high-quality economic development in 30 provinces of China from 2011 to 2021.Additionally,the research established a quantitative model,so as to empirically test the impact of the business environment on high-quality economic development and its underlying mechanisms.The findings revealed that,both the business environment and the level of high-quality economic development in China generally exhibited a distribution characteristic of"being higher in the east and lower in the west".Optimizing the business environment could promote high-quality economic development and the development of three sub-dimensions of innovation,green,and openness.Furthermore,the business environment could empower high-quality economic development by promoting advancements in digitization levels and entrepreneurial spirit.
