Corrosion and prevention of chlorine element on blast furnace gas pipeline
The corrosion of hydrogen chloride gas to blast furnace gas pipelines has become a key factor affecting the normal production of large and medium-sized blast furnaces. By establishing the chlorine balance, the income and expenditure patterns of the blast furnace chlorine element are quantitatively ana⁃lyzed, it is found that the main sources of chlorine element in blast furnace are quite different due to the impact of the unstable chlorine element content in dry quenched coke. Enterprises should increase the degree of attention to the corrosion harm of chlorine element, establish relevant standards as soon as pos⁃sible, and control the chlorine load into the furnace to within 0.4kg/t. The comparative analysis of differ⁃ent preventive measures shows that the alkali injection neutralization device is the most practical mea⁃sure to prevent the corrosion of chlorine element for the blast furnace gas pipeline. This paper discusses the feasibility and prospect of new technologies application of using mathematical model to achieve the precise control of chlorine elements and developing intelligent control system to realize real-time dis⁃charge of gas condensing water etc. To expect which provides a reference for large and medium-sized blast furnaces to achieve scientific control of chlorine elements and minimize the corrosion of chlorine el⁃ements to gas pipelines.
