Evolution Characteristics and Spatial Relationship of China's Ability to Promote Common Prosperity
The ability level of each region to promote common prosperity is the basis for achieving substantial progress in common prosperity.60 indicators are selected from the five sub-systems of basic guarantee ability, comprehensive enrichment ability, shared development ability, continuous improvement ability and identity attainment ability to construct an evaluation index system of China's ability of promoting common prosperity, which measures the ability in 30 sample provinces from 2010 to 2020.Dagum Gini index,Moran's I index and Kernel density estimation are used to empirically analyze the spatial characteristics and dynamic evolution trend of the ability to promote common prosperity. The findings are as follows:First, the ability to promote common affluence in China shows an increasing trend on the whole and keeps a high growth rate, but the regional gap of the ability to promote common affluence is still obvious. The main obstacle factors of the ability to promote common prosperity are mainly concentrated in the two subsystems of basic security ability and comprehensive prosperity ability.Second, the spatial gap in the ability to promote common prosperity remains stable in small fluctuations, and the gap has not been significantly narrowed, which is mainly caused by regional differences. There is a spatial positive correlation in all provinces, and most provinces show the states of"high-high"and"low-low"agglomeration.Third,from the perspective of dynamic evolution, the distribution of common prosperity promotion capacity shows the morphological characteristics of main peak position shifting to the right, polarization phenomenon, widening curve width, and changing right tail, reflecting the overall improvement of the common prosperity promotion capacity and the coexistence of regional differences.
