Data Element Embedding,Dual Innovation and Manufacturing Transformation and Upgrading
As a new factor of production,data has become an important engine for the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing.Dual innovation is the key driving force for data elements to be effectively embedded in real economy.Based on the perspective of dual innovation,this paper analyzes the theoretical mechanism of data elements embedded in the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing is analyzed,and an empirical test is made by using the data of China's A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2008 to 2020.The results show that:data embedding can effectively enable the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing,and it is still valid through a series of robustness tests.The dual innovation plays an intermediary role in the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing by data embedding,and it promotes the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing by exploring innovation.Further analysis shows that,the effect of data factor embeddedness on the transformation and upgrading of enabling manufacturing is heterogeneous at both the micro-level and the macro-level.Therefore,it is suggested that the reform of market-based allocation of data elements should be effectively carried out to create an external environment,in which data elements can enable enterprises to innovate continuously and stimulate the vitality of transformation and upgrading of manufacturing,and also actively guide the enterprise digital transformation,promote the deep integration of data elements and traditional elements.
