Silanization Modification of Cellulose Nanofibers Grafted with MTMS
Through a silanization reaction, methyltrimethoxysilane(MTMS)was grafted onto cellulose nanofibers(CNFs)to successfully synthesize modified CNFs(M-CNFs).The structure of M-CNFs was characterized using Fou-rier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray Diffraction(XRD),Zeta potential analysis, and Thermogravimet-ric Analysis(TGA).The results indicated that the optimal preparation conditions for M-CNFs are reaction tempera-ture of 25℃,pH 5,and reaction time of 2 hours. The water contact angle of the synthesized M-CNFs was 93.1°,demonstrating good thermal stability and the ability to form stable suspensions, thereby making them suitable as Pickering emulsion stabilizers.
