Paper is an indispensable and important material in the development of human society.Different kinds of paper have different characteristics and uses.As one of the important raw materials for packaging design,paper material has a unique color,texture and texture,which has a huge impact on packaging design.Firstly,the characteristics and classification of paper materials were introduced.Then,the relationship between paper materials and commodity packaging design was explored with different design principles.Finally,design cases were used to discuss the design strategies that paper materials should adopt in product packaging design,and the sustainable development,diversification and people-oriented design application strategies were summarized.
